We are talking about the gulags, the Soviet Union’s concentration camps located in Siberia or northern Russia, which operated from 1930 to 1960, although their peak period lasted until 1950. The aim of these ‘indoctrination camps’ was to eliminate anyone who opposed Stalin, or even people whom Stalin believed should be dead. In my opinion, this is truly inhumane and terrifying because a lot of innocent people died.

These pictures are about the Gulag in the Soviet Union (USSR), mostly in the time of Stalin, from the 1930s to the 1950s. The Gulag was a system of work camps where many people were sent as prisoners. They had to do very hard work in terrible places. This was a way for the government to control people and use them for work, showing how bad things were for human rights back then.

    It is a Gulag
It happened in the Soviet Union mostly when Stalin was in power
people were sent to camps and had to work very hard in bad conditions and many were not real criminals
I think it was very bad and unfair
People suffered a lot, and it shows that power can be dangerous if no one stops it
