It's time for research!
The book told us about the Russian Revolution... but it said nothing about how the tsar's family ended...
So your challenge is to investigate about the final days of this royal family, make a summary and tell something about two of the characters that most calls your attention...
The Russian Imperial Romanov family (Nicholas II of Russia, his wife Alexandra Feodorovna, and their five children: Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, and Alexei) were shot and bayoneted to death by Bolshevik revolutionaries under Yakov Yurovsky on the orders of the Ural Regional Soviet in Yekaterinburg on the night of 16–17 July 1918.
ReplyDeleteThe bodies were taken to the Koptyaki forest, where they were stripped, mutilated with grenades to prevent identification, and buried.
Nicholas II: The February Revolution of 1917 ended his reign when, attempting to return from headquarters to the capital, his train was stopped at Dno, Pskov Governorate, and he was forced to abdicate.
Alexandra Feodorovna: Alexandra's birth name was Victoria Alix Helena Louise Beatrice, but she was known as Alix within her family.
Im Sokrates.
Carol: The imperial family was first arrested and then transferred to several houses under surveillance. Finally, they were taken to the city of Yekaterinburg. On the morning of July 17, 1918, the family was executed by the Bolsheviks in the basement of the Ipatiev House. This decision was made for fear of the white army and return the monarchy to power.
ReplyDeleteThe two caracters that call me more attention were: Anastasia Romanov: She was the youngest daughter of the tsar. For many years there were rumours that he had survived the execution. However, years later the remains of the whole family were discovered, including those of Anastasia.
Alexei Romanov: He was the only son of the tsar and heir to the throne. He suffered from haemophilia
