Hi there!
Here we have the new challenge!
In this one you have to become a "journalist" and investigate a bit about our former spanish king Fernando VII...
Make a small report including anything you find curious or interesting about him! Not long...
With your best answers we can create an article for the school magazine!

Rodrigo
ReplyDeleteHello Fernando VII, how are you?
I have two questions to you:
Why did you reject the Constitution of Cádiz?
F-I think that the power is only to me because I'm the King
R-Why the people called you "El Felón"?
F-Because people were jealous of me, some say I am a traitor.
R- Thank you so much, bye
Ferdinand VII (1784–1833) was King of Spain for two periods, known for his absolutism.
ReplyDeleteHe ascended the throne in 1808, but Napoleon held him captive in France.
He returned to power in 1814, annulled the Constitution of 1812, and restored the absolute monarchy.
His reign left the country weakened and marked the beginning of succession disputes.
When he returned to Spain in 1814 after his Napoleonic captivity, the people greeted him with euphoria, believing he would bring peace and stability; they called him "The Desired One."
The irony is that, once on the throne, he proved to be a despot who persecuted those who fought for his return (the liberals) and plunged the country into constant crises. The "desire" quickly turned into disappointment.

- Yes is in part true, I like it but, only I did it in the spring station.
3- Finally. Did you have an a illnes that does one thing that is the complication of your relationships, How was they?
- Yes I have it, the main complication was that I need to put a cushion to have childrens.

Haya:
ReplyDeleteFernando VII became king in 1808 but almost immediately lost the throne when Napoleon forced him to abdicate. Strangely, this made him more popular. Spanish people saw him as a victim of French manipulation, turning him into a national symbol of resistance during the War of Independence.
Interesting fact:
Fernando VII loved wax figures. He had a personal collection and even ordered wax replicas of people he disliked so he could insult them in private.
