ReplyDeleteThe European Union was created after World War II to prevent another war in Europe. After the destruction of WWII, European countries understood that cooperation was better than conflict.
The EU started in 1951 with the European Coal and Steel Community. Countries like France and Germany decided to share important industries used for weapons and war. This helped build trust between nations that had been enemies for many years.
Today, the EU allows countries to work together in areas such as trade, human rights, education, and free movement between borders. Many Europeans can travel, study, and work in other EU countries without many restrictions.
WWII strongly influenced the creation of the EU because leaders wanted to protect peace, democracy, and stability in Europe. The terrible consequences of war showed that countries needed unity instead of rivalry.
In my opinion, the EU still helps keep peace in Europe today because countries solve problems through dialogue and cooperation instead of violence. However, some people forget that the EU was originally created to avoid another world war. Young Europeans should learn more about this history so that the mistakes of the past are never repeated.

ReplyDeleteEuropean Union
The European Union is a unique political and economic union of 27 member states primarily located in Europe.
The European Union exists to ensure peace, stability, and economic prosperity in Europe.
World War II is the fundamental fundamental problem of the European Union, leaders forged deep economic and political alliances.
I think that they keep peace but not all for example the attack from Russia to Poland,or do something to stop the War of Palestine.

ReplyDeleteNATO and European Security
What is NATO?
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is a military alliance founded in 1949. Its members agree to protect each other if one is attacked.
Why does it exist?
NATO exists to provide security, prevent conflicts, and encourage cooperation between its member countries.
How did WWII influence its creation?
After World War II, Europe wanted to avoid another devastating war. NATO was created to promote peace, protect democracy, and provide collective defense.
Does NATO help keep peace in Europe today?
I think NATO helps keep peace by making countries work together and increasing security. However, some people believe it can also create tensions with non-member countries (In Spain, young people from PSOE thank that)

My Opinion:
I think some do, but many do not fully understand how WWII influenced European cooperation. Learning about the war helps explain why peace and unity are so important today.

It helps countries work together, solve problems by talking, and keep peace in Europe
I think it is important because it helps maintain good relations between countries.
