Transhumance was fundamental to the Honrado Concejo de la Mesta because it allowed them to move their sheeps according to the seasons. This favored wool production who was very important for the economy of the Crown of Castile.

Transhumance helped La Mesta move sheep between summer and winter pastures. This allowed them to produce valuable merino wool. Kings also gave La Mesta special privileges, which affected farmers and land use in medieval Castile.

I think IS becouse the wool in that time was so expensive and when they do the transumance to other places IS really important becouse when IS winter they can't eat in the north par of Spain and the go to the south and in the summer the opposite. It changes life becouse they need money if they don't have any work.
