Topic: The 19th-century waves of revolution
Instructions:
Many revolutions in the 19th century were inspired by ideas of liberty, equality, and nationalism. Think about one of these waves (for example, 1820, 1830, or 1848) and what people were fighting for.
👉 Challenge question:
If you had lived during one of these revolutions, what would you have supported — change or stability? Why?
💬 Write a comment explaining your opinion. Use expressions like I believe…, In my opinion…, because…, for example…
I think I would have supported change during the 1848 revolutions, because people were fighting for more freedom, democracy, and national unity. In my opinion, the old monarchies didn’t give people enough rights or chances to take part in government decisions. For example, many workers and middle-class people wanted fairer laws and better living conditions. Supporting change would mean helping to build a freer and fairer society where everyone could have a voice.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I would support the change to have freedom(Liberty), but with caution.
