4º - Challenge 14

It's time for research!

The book told us about the Russian Revolution... but it said nothing about how the tsar's family ended...

So your challenge is to investigate about the final days of this royal family, make a summary and tell something about two of the characters that most calls your attention...

The Romanov family became prisoners and were moved to Yekaterinburg
In 1918 during the Russian Civil War the tsar, his wife and their five children were executed

Nicholas II had many tattoos, which was unusual for a monarch

Alexei Nikolaevich was very energetic and loved playing with soldiers and pretending to be a real commander of the army

They were the imperial family of Russia (the Romanov family).
Nicholas II of Russia: The last emperor of Russia, he ruled until his abdication in 1917.
Alexandra Feodorovna Romanova: The wife of Nicholas II and the last empress of Russia.
They and their five children were executed by a firing squad during the 1917 revolution.

  3. During the Russian Revolution, Tsar Nicholas II was forced to abdicate and he and his family were arrested. In 1918 they were moved to Yekaterinburg, where the Bolsheviks executed them in the Ipatiev House.

Alexei Nikolaevich, Tsarevich of Russia: He was the heir to the throne and suffered from hemophilia, a dangerous disease.

Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia: For many years there were rumors that she had survived the execution.
