  1. Hello, my name is James Douglas, and I was a very important Scottish knight, the right-hand man of King Robert the Bruce. Before he died, he asked me to take his heart to the Holy Land on a religious and military pilgrimage to Jerusalem. During the trip, I joined the Christians in the Battle of Tabas, in Málaga, to stopped the Muslim conquest. But unfortunately, I died there on August 25, 1330, and I was unable to fulfill my promise to Robert. That is why the people said that I was the man who died with two hearts.

  3. Hello, my name is Ale Randolph. I was born in the year 1078 and died in 1131. I was born in northern France, and my father was a vassal. From a young age, I was a squire, so I was skilled with the sword. My family was very Christian. Later, when I was 18 years old, Pope Urban II called on Christians to liberate Jerusalem from the Muslims. The pope said that God wanted it this way, which motivated me to become a crusader because of my strong faith.

  4. I am JOSE GONZALEZ of Montrevault, born in 1062 in a small fortress on the edge of the Frankish lands. My life was quiet, mostly guarding fields and serving my lord. But when we heard that pilgrims were being harmed on the way to Jerusalem, and the pope asked for help, I felt called to go.
I became a crusader because I believed it was my duty to God. I also hoped that the journey would give my life greater purpose and show that I was a worthy knight.
