3º - DEBATE next Tuesday 16th October


DEBATE: ARE WARS LEGITIMATE?

To prepare a debate:
.Learn about the topic. This helps you form your own opinions.
.Write a brief summary of the main arguments you want to use. The moderator will provide the questions in advance.
.Write one or two ideas to summarize your points of view for the conclusion.

During the debate:
.Speak only when it is your turn.
.Answer the questions you are asked.
.Use appropiate language.
.Be clear and concise. Time is limited!
.Listen carefully to other speakers. Don't repeat their arguments. Take notes for your rebuttal arguments.
Respect everyone's opinions.

1- KIND OF WARS, AND CAUSES
2- YOUR OPINION ABOUT CIVIL WARS
3- CONSEQUENCES OF WARS
4- ARE WARS LEGITIMATE? FOR ONE OR BOTH BANDS?
5- HOW TO PROVIDE PEACE (OPINION, ARGUMENTS)
6- PARTICIPATION OF CHILDREN IN WARS

These questions will be the ones we'll talk about in the debate next Tuesday, so you have to prepare your arguments in regard these points.
